Nicholas (Nick) Johnson currently sits on a number of private boards after retiring as Vice Chairman, Co-Head of Investment Banking, at Stifel Nicolaus Canada in 2022. Mr. Johnson was the Head of Energy Investment Banking at GMP FirstEnergy prior to the firm being acquired by Stifel in 2019. During his 27-year tenure he worked on over 250 Canadian and International financing, advisory, merger and acquisition assignments representing over $100B of activity.

He was recognized as one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2011 and was ranked as one of the top 100 Investment Bankers in the world in 2008 and 2009 by Brendan Wood International.

Mr. Johnson currently sits on the board of the Calgary Humane Society and was on the board of directors for the Calgary United Way from 2011 to 2015.
